Early Impact & Design Growth at Save the Water™ (2023)

Early Impact & Design Growth at Save the Water™ (2023)

In 2023, I joined Save the Water™ as a UX/UI Designer. In my first months, I contributed to two key projects that supported the organization’s goals:

  • The Summer eCamp Registration Page, developed to streamline registration and improve the experience for parents and students

  • The Leadership Team Page, designed to introduce key figures and build credibility

These projects reflect my collaborative approach, quick learning, and ability to adapt to nonprofit digital needs.

Problem

Problem
Problem
The previous summer eCamp registration page lacked clarity, structure, and user-focused content. Key issues included: • No clear call-to-action or subtitle explaining the program • Unclear visuals that didn’t represent the target audience (students and parents) • Missing or scattered program details, making it hard for users to understand the value before registering • Poor content hierarchy and overwhelming layout, leading to confusion and drop-off

Survey Findings & Design Impact

To better understand user needs for the registration experience, I conducted a short pre-registration survey targeting parents and guardians.

Content Planning & Section Strategy

Content Planning & Section Strategy

Based on the survey insights, I sketched out content priorities for the registration page to guide the wireframe layout.
I focused on three core areas:
  • What is the eCamp? Clear program intro, with value proposition and visuals for the target age group
  • Why join? A list of engaging features, short testimonials, and clear learning outcomes
  • How to register? Simple, mobile-friendly form with immediate confirmation messaging

Content & Layout Blueprint

Content & Layout Blueprint

I created design notes to align each section with clear content strategy and visual direction. The goal is to inform and motivate parents to enroll their children by using friendly visuals, concise messaging, and strong call-to-actions. Each section is purposefully designed—from the engaging hero and program highlights to testimonials and final enrollment; ensuring a user-friendly, informative, and emotionally resonant experience.
